>>122392364I don't mind the changes in the pacing. Cutting some of the filler is probably good if they don't plan to go on for 10+ seasons. I'm not sure changing the chronology was necessary, but I guess they wanted to have Nolan kill the guardians as a hook for the 1st episode.
I like that they nerfed viltrumites. It makes fight scenes more interesting and more suitable for the cartoon format.
However I'm a little disconcerted at the forced diversity in the show. Turning the main character half-asian for some reason, turning his best friend into a stereotypical gay twink and changing the race, gender of many minor characters... Not only that but looking at the voice actors that show on prime video and realizing they consistently tried to match the race of the character with the race of the voice actor kinda creeped me out. From a european perspective, this obsession with ostentatious diversity seems really strange.
