There's likely no racism at play, but the whole situation gatekeeps talent and makes it hard for them to break in. Am I getting it right? It's about creating an even playing field and giving chances to those who wouldn't otherwise have them.
In that case, I'm up for pressuring studios to bring in more voices, which could give some life or authenticity to characters. It's just that Hollywood is screwing it up and replacing previously white-voiced roles with inferior newer voices, while also segregating actors into roles by race, rather than talent. Hence why you get a black guy voicing Carl from The Simpsons, who sounds infinitely worse than the old voice.
