>>122288764I'm not him, but I don't care for aluminum or AA.
I'll tell you my reasons in detail, but I don't think it'll make any difference to you since you're playing full defense right now.
One, AA is not as aesthetically pleasing in a design as BB. I liked the butterfly idea Yoto had. You might be able to do that with AA by rotating them, but then it is not immediately recognizable. It's too angular.
Two, aluminum does not evoke any feelings of excitement from me. I see at least one anon trying to tie bronze to steampunk, but really, I associate steampunk more with pipes, top hats, and blimps, not the metal bronze. When I think aluminum, I think of a disposable soda can. You should never make a character meant to be a main character feel so readily disposable.
Three, the color of aluminum is grey. There are already characters with grey color schemes (Iron Girl and Silver Queen being the most prominent). If she's going to be named after a metal at least give her a color that's distinct. Bronze is a reddish color that makes her more distinct from the yellows and greys of her fore bearers.
You can rationalize anything into making sense, but if it isn't aesthetically pleasing then it won't work because it'll have no staying power.
It's really down to the artists over what looks good. If it looks good then they want to draw it, if it doesn't then the idea will die.
