That's it. It doesn't drive him, isn't used by characters to build him up, or to tear him down, it isn't commented on, it doesn't fucking DEFINE him. This is what every piece of media gets wrong - they don't make CHARACTERS, they make PROPS to fill out a checklist. People can say they care about having a [whatevergoeshere] representative until they're blue in the face, but the fact of the matter is that that alone isn't going to endear the character to consumers, and grant them a chance at continued existence. People want actual fucking people in their stories, not cardboard cutouts that only exist so executives and content creators can slap themselves on the back for the bare minimum effort they put out. Stop being lazy.
