I actually like the episode but the big problem of Volume 8 is the lack of full fights. The finale needs to make it up or I’ll retroactively dislike the episodes a bit more.

Also, why in the fuck are either Winter or Ironwood in the vault?

RWBY vs CN should’ve had more screentime and the fact it didn’t is just a symptom of a greater issue. I liked Yang getting taken out as a piece of suspense but the issue slowed down to let Blake cry like a little bitch and none of RWB have even given a proper hit to Cinder or Neo. And why hasn’t Ruby even TRIED her silver eyes?

If Cinder gets taken down Neo might actually save her, if that happens I could see them saving Watts.

There's also a chance Watts just has one random ship go on autopilot and pick him up as they as they start to fall, but in that scenario I could see Ironwood killing him.

I give Watts 60/40 odds of surviving.

Ironwood is definitely dead 90/10. I give the reverse ie 10/90 on Winter dying not even to Ironwood just in general.

If RWBY gets split up again I could see Winter saving Weiss from falling.
Also full meme magic I want to see Whitley shooting and killing Ironwood to protect Winter.

This kinda bothers me a bit, starting with the previous volume as well druing Ace-Ops vs RWBY, but why are the antagonists the only ones to show conflicting emotions during those fights? Ace-Pos vs RWBY, had the Ace-Ops clearly feeling hurt and betrayed while RWBY were pretty bloodthirsty, now Winter vs Ironwood, Ironwood sheds a tear while Winter couldn't give less of a fuck.

It seriously astounds me how badly they fucked this up. Half the cast is useless, most of the characters are barely developed, the plot and actions of the characters makes absolutely no sense and only work because the plot says so. Seriously, most of the plot collapses under the slightest bit of logical scrutiny.

You'd think with how big RWBY has become they would have been able to hire some professional writers who have been in the industry for a while, instead of the dumbass cucks they let write this series.

RWBY is one of the few franchises I can honestly say has fanfics better than the official show.

Was anyone else expecting Weiss to job to Cinder’s projectiles? Honestly, good on Weiss so far, she’s been the GOAT of RWBY vs Cinder bc Yang got her aura one shot and Blake couldn’t even distract Neo enough to let Ruby get off silver eyes.

I also kind of appreciate them getting Yang out of the fight because I do feel like RWBY could competently take them both on because it’s a case of 4v1ing Neo until they get to the point where they distract Cinder and let Ruby one shot her, whereas RWB vs CN is less one sided because it’s RWBY’s best hitter is Yang. This episode was really good but I really hope the Sakuga fight of the volume is next episode because the tiny bit of Cinder vs RWBY we got was kinda lacking.

With Yang out of the picture for now, Cinder might actually pull off a win here, but I don't think she'll be able to succ Penny's powers, and if she kills her then Ruby gets the maiden powers.

Silver Eyes only go off when she's got an intense desire to protect those around her, specifically her loved ones. Here, team RWBY intentionally goes after her- and thought they could win. Ruby wasn't in the right emotional state to use the eye blast instantly, since here she was more filled with anger and determination.
