It's been confirmed he was in love with another man in his youth (who died), but his kids still exist, so we don't really have a solid answer for everything yet.

If I remember right he was still married to Harlequin before The New 52 fucked everything up. No idea if that's still the case.

Why DC has a hate boner for the JSA, I'll never know, but nowadays I really hope they just get left alone and forgotten, rather than this shit of bringing some back as fan bait and others being completely changed so the latest writer can either give their special OCDonutSteel the name of a popular character or to "fix" their outdated characterisation
Also, love the Alex Ross art. His Alan Scotts have always been good (the Kingdom Come armour is my favourite design, though)

That’s not the point, Todd had father issues and it was a clear move by the writer/artist to make Todd’s Boyfriend look like Alan. But add that to Todd looking like the guy Alan fucked when he got his powers it makes it extra extra creepy

My point with this storytime was to show that, the Alan & Molly are a great couple and even though DC hardly touched the relationship doesn’t make it any less unique and prominent in their characterization. Making Alan gay and Molly a beard is completely shitty and lessens their characterizations
