I love how serialized it is and how seriously it handles its literal world-ending stakes, but I honestly don't care for too many of the characters aside from the cats, even after two seasons.
Final Space does a lot of good for the future of western adult animation (gorgeous visuals, sincere emotion, overarching narratives rather than the bait-and-switch Rick and Morty's gotten flak for), but it's still so so far from being GOOD in my eyes. There's a reason why nobody really cares for this new trailer. I wanna send a message to the execs by streaming the first two seasons when they hit HBO Max, but I don't want them to get the wrong ideas and instead go searching for more "Garyisms" or shoehorned comedic relief like Conan's character.
