It was still better when both had only one episode though. Dumping shitload of lore, LOTS of random background characters, horrible perspective shots and color palette staying only in hell making it an eyesore are only tip of the iceberg.
The main cast doesn't bounce too well either, you just have Angel who's as immature as constantly swearing 'adult' gay stereotype can be, while having 5 seconds of "Oh look he kinda felt bad for Charlie!" thing feeling incredibly artificial, Vaggie who's just angry lesbo that basically does NOTHING in the whole pilot outside of being there to yell at Angel for being annoying fuck he is, and Charlie who well, she just works, to be honest. I can't really say she's a bad protagonist. But on the other hand, you have Alastor with 'showing immense power scene' that is as cringy as it gets with retarded toothy shit-eating grin never leaving his face making him Deviantart tier edgy oc. I dunno what's the name of the owl dog thing guy but he can work, albeit he is horrendously overdesigned. And of course, the little maid who seems like a fun addition. The problem is half of the characters work and the other half DOESN'T as it is for now. Helluva Boss seems to have way more broad appeal than Hazbin which seems to be directly aimed at deviant art user angsty teens who think that saying fuck is all you need to be funny.
