PG was what writers thought was a feminist from the 70s to 90s. She was also Atlantean for some reason at a certain point in those years.
Then Connor and Palmotti made her fun and slightly jaded, which is the more popular version.
Not sure what the writers were going for with New 52 PG.
She hasn't been used much since.
