>>120348809Sid Meier has a rule about games I think at times that needs to apply to movies.
"I would rather have 1 or 2 fairly good games then 4 great ones all stuck together"
>>120346454Robots is complex you need to have had a specific experience and if you did it will grab the very roots if your soul. The show him and his dad watch is patterned heavily after the wonderful world of Disney. I'm not old enough but in the late 90s I watched a lot of vault Disney as a child and in turn the wonderful world of Disney (in color even) along with large amounts of Disney's early big hits (Zorro) (Davy croket) I even got to watch sing if the south one night in a stroke of miracle.
If you had that it really really grabs you it strange because the movie is sort of speaking to parents and grand parents more then the children and most of the milenial and boomers who would have seen it lack that reference point.
>>120345071Step back and look at Disney's movies after TP very few 2d stuff also deap canvas is sort of cgi and sort of not it's a bit more complex then that my comprehension is it has to do with how they where blended (the tree slideing in Tarzan being a good example) it doesn't scream I'm cgi the way a number of other mixed animation did. Not amarican but solty rei stands out in my head as being a good example and that's from several years latter not a fully fair comparison but still.
