DC:
>No consistency
>Batman and Superman are psychotic killers
>Go from grimdark Batman one movie to jokey quipster in the next
>At least some of the jokey shit comes from Snyder so you can't blame it all on Joss
>Feud between Batman and Superman is incoherent
>Batman is a neocon who quotes the Bush doctrine
>Luthor's motivation is a mess
>Wonder Woman goes from being disappointed and confused by man's warlike nature to proudly taking severed heads as trophies
vs Marvel:
>Consistent characterization and continuity; movies rarely contradict one another
>Character development and growth (Stark repenting from his past as an arms dealer, Banner growing to accept the Hulk as an essential part of himself, Gamora going from hard-edged to accepting the Guardians as her new family, Loki sacrificing himself to save the brother he had always been jealous of, etc.)
>Heroes behave heroically despite character flaws
>Not ashamed of the source material so characters talk to each other in costume for more than a few seconds whereas Snyder found that embarassing

Both universes have both bad and good installments, and I feel the MCU's best days are behind them, but on balance the MCU is way better. /tv/ and their crossboarders on /co/ pretend otherwise a) to be contrarian b) because they dislike superheroes and consider them to be childish c) because they have a juvenile belief that violence and edginess = 'adult' d) hatred of Disney, as if Warner Brothers is somehow a less evil billionaire corporation e) they feel DC is somehow more right wing, which isn't really true (neocons are Trotskyites and both company's characters were created by left wing Jews).
