>>120271631Honestly OP should've just started with posting this first for the sake of context and clarity
>>120274549Now with that out of the way, we can clearly identify what this "idea guy" criticism is all about. Getting people the fuck off their asses, and telling them to actually DO SOMETHING. Anything at all! Like the Nike slogan, just do it! But instead of being nice and friendly, it's going down the right path, that is, by being a complete fucking asshole, constructing an argument with some real self-reflecting venom in it.
Why do you think drill-sergeants act the way they do? To give PTSD to the soldiers before the war? Well maybe, but mostly because it's the best way to motivate and teach someone.
That's all fine. But here's my 1%. None of this fucking matters. Life is merely a dream. I have no desire or intention of sharing anything with the world because it doesn't fucking matter, and most people are too stupid and shallow to 'get' it anyway.
Everything is always better when it's inside your head. More colorful, more vibrant, the plotholes, inconsistencies, and faults barely exist, if at all. And whatever it would or could be, physically, in the "real" world, could NEVER match up with the visions inside your head.
99% of the things in your head will stay there anyway, because of fiscal, temporal, physical, etc. limitations. Sooner or later, one of these things will hold back your grandiose ideas. To the point where it barely resembles what you originally thought of, that is, if you want your idea to sustain itself. It must sell its soul and become like Jeff Bezos or modern Disney. Corporate, buearcratic, emotionless, "spark"-less, trite garbage.
Why bother at all, when I'm perfectly content with my fantasies.
