Best episode is Wet Painters, you got peak Spongebob+Patrick dynamic, the best jokes are here and appear every second, it’s the episode with most memorable moments and it clearly shows how characters are without being flanderized (Krabs not being just the greedy one; Spongebob not being a pollyanic Gary Stu; Patrick being clumsy-dumb doing slippery-slopes instead of being a braindead retarded manchild).
Only Snail Racers comes to mind as another candidate for the best episode.
