>>120121712He/She doesn't have a detailed mythology. In the myth, depending on the region of Brazil you ask, it's a naked child with incredibly long red hair (literally red) who is tricky and disruptive and who smokes a cigar. You can't have a kid smoking a cigar, even if they're really a mythological ageless creature. The comic book authority would reeee. So, you get the female version because it is probably the safer of choices. If it's a male child, then you're displaying them topless... or with clothes that make them look like a girl and that's probably worse than a female child. Both are gonna attract weirdos, but yeah, female one is probably better because she is hanging out with WW and a male one sparks certain kinds of ships. Anyway, Caipora is basically a God who dislikes unfair hunting. I suspect that means using calls, night vision high velocity rifles, traps, trackers, GPS etc etc counts as 'unfair'. So you better do it with a bow and arrow or a spear. I suspect using poison and venom is OK though. If you are using 'unfair' tactics, Caipora will make animal noises to lead you deeper into the jungle, will make fake animal tracks for you to follow that lead nowhere, disorientate you and even if you find some prey to kill, he/she will scare it off before you can fire. Then there is weird rituals to ward him/her off. Oh and normally has greenskin... but in the DC version only part of her is green. Or is paint.
Anyway, the only 'family tree' involving Caipora is, I believe, that Caipora (in regions that believe he is a boy) is the father of Saci. Oh and Harry Potter has Caipora in it, but is a boy and fully green.
In terms of DC's Caipora? Fuck knows.
