Some flaws in it. Some episodes contradict what he's saying (also said episodes not used). But still a theory, but at the end was kinda, dumb.

Hell, you can come up with a million different reasons why it wouldn't be a satisfying way to conclude a story without ever even having to mention some weird cult group in Hollywood that for whatever reason is trying to regulate the plot structure of one-off episodes primarily from shitty sci-fi shows and children's cartoons

The scene is sketchy enough on paper, but damn they sure gave it a rapey overtone. I mean they could've used a goofier take on Dipper's line, but they chose to make him sound fucking terrified.

I guess it stands out because Gravity Falls was one of those shows that acted like it was "above" the writers' fetishes. It wasn't like Adventure Time or something, where they'd throw in more twisted or kinky gags for fun.
Somehow it feels a lot sketchier when the writers try to project more of a squeaky-clean image.
