I honestly can't speak for any of their decisions, but in terms of twitter engagement with the show, it's absolutely skyrocketed. Just from what I've seen, and I'm not even counting engagement with CR'S social media, this is just from whoever has the words "Onyx Equinox" in their posts. It's seriously night and day. I think the decision to release all at once was a good idea. The initial plan to release weekly was a good one, but for an original IP you'd have to work extra hard to get people interested. I remember looking at like, Mandalorian for weekly release format, but something that takes place in the Star Wars universe can do that in current year.
It's really looking good, at least on the amount of people watching it.. shit, the difference reading the crunchyroll comments on episode 1 and on like, episode 9 is a trip.
