Realism is making a story as if it was set in our world and they try to portray the world in the most realistic way possible.
If you make a movie about a demigoddess in WW1 then you need to know something REAL about WW1, because if you don't you don't have any reason to use a real life war but you can just make up it like "the war of people on people".
Wonder Woman movie was realistic in trying to make WW1 and the politics of Britain and Germany in most accurate way. Shitting on it with MAGIC LASSO LOL it's insulting to the audience that took seriously the previous movie.
It had a character with PTSD, racism, sexism and genocide, and it made sense while having a demigoddess.
This movie is embracing the silly and so it's not realistic at all and so we don't need to take seriously the fact they're making statements about sexism on women like the Cheetah character is trying to do.
