>>119907625>>119907675There's two reasons.
First is that of the three villains in the season, himself, grace and amelia he did the least wrong. He was an accomplice to the bullshit. Yes, he grew up in it and became devoted to his way of life but he was only ever trying to do the right thing, whereas grace is an unironic sociopath and Amelia harmed countless lives null or otherwise.
So, 1: He was a victim more than a perp
2: He was trying to do the right thing.
Thinking the train is an evil manipulative force is something the show tries to disuade people from but lets be serious.
The train abducts people in emotionally fractured points of their life then performs a number of experiments on them until either they succeed, die, or succumb to aging.
The train does kill people. It IS designed to brainwash people and to control and manipulate them. One One is not the top of the tottem pole, he's just a fun mascot for a larger system.
Morally speaking, the best thing to do would be to ignore the psychological overtures the nulls invite you to participate in, to find the major power players like oneone and to wheel them until the system stops and the hell train is finally defeated.
Nulls did nothing wrong and broadly speaking Simon and Grace don't understand why what they're doing is better than just going along with the system but between being a Tulip or a Jesse and being a Amelia or a Simon, you should be an Amelia/Simon
