Infinity Train comes out with new seasons every six months. Book 1 in August 2019, Book 2 in January 2020, Book 3 in August 2020, Book 4 would release next month but I wouldn't count on it, maybe a teaser at best

If it was just Owen saying there essentially a season 4 I would have called bullshit, but considering that two other writers said the team was laid off months ago gives some credence.
However both CN and HBO have been promoting the show lately, so I imagine the team has been reassembled and in the midst of beginning a new season.

Alright, I finally finished Book 3, this thread is as good as any.
This one wasn't as strong as book 2. I think I'd even go so far as to say it was the weakest out of all them.
Simon was interesting, but I still just can't get over how stupid the whole 'Apex' idea is, and it really drags down the story. I could get it if all the kids were, like, 'back home my dad beats me' or 'I literally live on the streets,' you know, a situation where the train is a legitimately better place for them to be. But instead, it's just kinda 'we wanna stay because we can.' And you can't claim that the kids don't know that 0 = freedom, because Jesse hit zero right in the middle of their camp, and they still think One One is lying to them.
And the ending was kind of anti-climatic as well, outside of Simon's death, which I don't think needs spoiling because you announced it to everyone. It was very abrupt.
Still, seeing Grace warm up to Hazel was nice, even if the twist was obvious a mile away, and Simon and the Cat had a good dynamic as well. It was good to see Amelia again, but she just kinda leaves before failing to wrap up Grace's arc. Overall, it was just kind of okay.

It's clear that the Apex flourished because
1. before Tulip no one knew the true goal of the train and it's very easy to get off track
2. peer pressure
3. pure cult manipulation
4. most of the kids look under 12 and were convinced that fantasy life on the train is better than real life

Nope, no cartoon lesbians so far. The show has been avoiding tackling LGBT issues with greater perseverance than you'd expect from a modern cartoon that leans so heavily on characters and psychological themes. I don't know if the writers are just uninterested in the topic (which is totally fine, I don't expect everything in the world to have a LGBT plot thread) or if they're afraid of doing one and getting it wrong somehow.

I don't know, it just feels strange for a modern semi-serious cartoon, especially one from Cartoon Network, to not even have a whiff of LGBT in it. It's actually been so normalized, at least in this specific niche, that the absence thereof feels notable.
