>>119809956It kind was a problem of those times. Media rarely was nerdy enough to reference things people were into, and always resorted to just referencing the big stuff. Family Guy was the first show to break out because it was referencing stuff general audiences knew about such as the Kool-Aid man and video game characters that references took off. These parody movies relied on referencing other movies as a lean in gag and it's unfortunate cause Superhero Movie legit tries so much harder when it's not one of those reference scenes. A lot of this film is genuinely funny, but when it does shit like Professor Xavier and the black female Professor Xavier, it just sucks.
Like, it's a film that would be better if they took out more than add stuff in.
