But that the arc ends with her being a rapper is kind of lame even if mundane surrealism is adventure time's thing, and that that arc had to incorporate a pretty lame breakup despite being a pretty interesting relationship on its own also doesn't help.
I don't think she needed to stay in a relationship with Finn, ultimately it's all about her making her own choices, just the way they broke up was awkwardly written, even if partly to say "Finn's at a weird age where he doesn't know how to date girls" cause they could've handled that literally any other way than "he gets hard when she fights, so she tricks her into fighting".
