Since no one wants to answer, and generally love powerscaling. Yes yes he did, its shown time and time that as a teen he was so strong that more seasoned heroes Marveled at how strong he'd be as a fully grown adult. Honestly a good deal of Marvel heroes got stronger as time went on, and it really felt like a nice sense of progression from the 60s to late 80s, afterwards eh...

Peter grew up, so yeah. The big thing with Spider-Man is that it was rarely an action comic book and was more a soap with some superhero intrigue.

The formula worked back when Peter aged and his life changed over time and retcons were fairly sparse, but that doesn't work as well anymore. Modern ASM should really lean into spectacle action/adventure with character drama mixed in.

Peter is significantly stronger now. He lifted a train with little to no effort and he also used his finger to flick entire cargo freight boxes (idk what they're called) on their sides.

Why do people always talk about Ditko Spidey as if he always drew the guy as wiry as possible? The most iconic Ditko story has him built like the brick shithouse he'd be for all of Romita's run and every other appearance post Amazing Fantasy wasn't far behind.

He's considered pretty strong, yeah. Definitely a heavier hitter than his early days.
I think his high-tier strength usually comes out in moments of pure desperation.

Do modern printings of the Omnibus still have that issue where the digital colouring is too bright? Look at Spidey in the OP, the brightness of the red obscures his webbing.

I think Spider-Man doesn't even know how strong he is.
There was that one post Civil War Captain America comic where he and Cap punched out the Hulk.
Either Peter or the writer didn't realize that he'd done most of the heavy lifting.

In Otto's case it was a little bit special considering the whole reason he took Pete's body was because his own body was dying because a fat man shouldn't be taking so many kidney shots.

yet it never occured to him to clone/create a new body for himself.
he only thought about and did this after the whole body stealing.
besides it never made sense that otto could take all those spider powered punches.
hell even the hulk once beat the shit out of otto, he should not have survived that.

This power-creep happens to all superheroes, actually. You start off tilting cars over and soon you're throwing oceanliners. You start by being able to catch bullets and soon you're breaking the speed of light.

Then you go through some crisis, get brought down to reasonable levels and the process starts over again.

Superman and the Spectre have gone up and down the power scale a dozen times. Spidey usually restrains himself so this isn't necessary.
