>>119612479The only hook I see for a Monster's Inc sequel is breaking the masquerade. Now that monsters know that humans are not horrible contamination threats and they no longer need to terrify humans to survive, its only a matter of time before someone goes 'why don't we just talk to the humans?'
The monsters are no longer scared of humanity. Which is good. But they also largely only deal with children, who accept them and laugh at their antics. They won't be ready for the fact that adults will still be fucking TERRIFIED of them.
Just imagine finding out, tomorrow, that there was an entire dimension of freaky monster people, and they can invade you house without warning through ANY door in your home at any time. And, indeed, they have been doing this for decades without your knowledge, to approach your children when you think they are sleeping safe and sound. Thats fucking TERRIFYING.
