No one is saying they look NOTHING alike. Obviously there are similarities. But you bitter old fucks act like shows that are produced around the same time having stylistic similarities is, not only unique to modern animation, but also the herald of the end times.
This isn't anything new. Animators and artists have always been influenced by other animators and artists. You grab batches of shows made around the same time, and you'll usually find similarities. It's not evidence of a dearth of originality, it's just how trends work, have always worked, and will continue to work.
