>>119394485What is this your 1st watch of D&D TAS?
It's a great cartoon, the episodes where they decide to kill Vengir, and when Vengir's master shows up I recall being the best.
>>119392803I remember reading analysis of the show, and it revealed it had ton's of depth.
Like each of their magic items compliments their character, and is contingent on their weakness.
Bow = Requires a lot of control not to kill, responsibility of Hank being a leader not get everybody killed
Shield = Eric has a defensive personality, and is selfish. Uses the shield to obviously defend himself, but it's most effective when shielding the whole party (not being selfish)
Cloak = Shelia is terrified of being alone, yet to turn invisible she's alone.
Hat = Most powerful tool, only works when used confidently. Presto is very unconfident of himself.
Club = Powerful weapon, dangerous when used with no control. Bobby is a little kid with no control.
Pole = Requires a lot of physical strength and dexterity to use. Diana greatest fear is becoming old and weak.
And then there's character shit too:
Eric: Spoiled rich kid who's selfish, he's at his best when he's not and being selfless. Seems like the show was going ship him with Diana, Rich white + black
Hank: Oldest, something about Shelia having the hots for the oldest because she's scared all the time....I'm starting to forget.
Uni: Oh yeah I think there was shit about Uni too. Best friends with Bobby, but he'll have to give Uni up to get home. Bobby being the youngest has to care for Uni. Uni can teleport but has no control just like Bobby. Both are really young.
Anyways, D&D TAS was one of my favorite childhood cartoons. Too bad actual D&D sucked so bad after 3rd Edition everybody bailed, and the franchise has never been the same since.
