Okay, so we've talked about the Joshua's plan, Jakes involvement in it, and KKW not digging it
Now lets brainstorm catalysts for it on Finn and Brons side.
I'm thinking Bron can't find a date to her prom, maybe she broke up with her boyfriend or whatever, her dad offers to take her but surprise she doesn't take to that. So he asks for Jakes advice.
Jake having uncovered Joshua's plan, and had a cosmic dream about Finn and Brons happy future together, takes this chance to start playing matchmaker by having Finn take Bron to prom.
After all, Finn is the coolest and most attractive guy in all of Ooo according to the Ice King, who is never wrong ever, so its the perfect way to show up her lame-o boyfriend.
KKW doesn't think its smart choice, but relents after Jake convinces him.
Finn agrees because he's helping out Bron, and Bron agrees because she doesn't want to end up going to prom by herself.
