It most certainly is not.
While it's difficult for me to articulate exactly why this show is a soulless corpse, I think the word 'cynical' is an adjective that fits this show to a T.
The original show runners were interested first and foremost in funny jokes and gags, and social/political commentary second. If they saw something that they felt was worth commenting on in they would work through several drafts of the same joke to ensure that they felt it was sufficiently witty.
The modern show, from what I've seen, utterly lacks this. It's obvious that the show runners believe that simply pointing at something and saying "this is silly" is a joke.
It's lazy and cynical, born out of a sense of entitlement from being handed a well known and loved IP. Its obvious that they think they should be given acclaim simply for working on an Animaniacs show, regardless of the actual quality because they think simply liking the original makes them experts on the shows's brand of comedy.
This is, of course, to say nothing of the phoned in animation and art. Also the voice acting. Rob Paulsen, Jess Harnell and Tress Macneille all SOUND twenty-two years older. It's soul draining to listen to them perform these characters.
TL;DR Go fuck yourself.
This shit is the epitome of the cynicism of the early 21st century. The soulless cash grab reboot to end all soulless cash grab reboots.
