Visually, I'm split. There's a lot of work put into the animation, but there are also many cheesy elements like head waggling, and secondary motions for the sake of motion. The human designs aren't appealing. But this is all compared to the best of the old show. Against contemporaries, it's fine but not as astounding as they seem to think it is.
Need time to digest the writing. A good bulk of this episode is self-referential, and hopefully that's just for the first episode. If it carries over to the entire series, I'd get sick of it pretty quickly.
Yakko sounds old because he is, but Pinky and the Brain are almost perfect. The music accompaniment is also fine.
The show hasn't quite justified itself yet, but very willing to give it 4 or 5 more episodes to do it.
