I get they moved some episodes around due to COVID but all the terrible DC/marvel matches have really made this season awful. Which is funny because Wally vs Sonic and Jason vs Bucky are also the only ones that aren’t doing bad in terms of views whereas a lot of the non comic matches did well.

When will they drop their fucking boner for Spider/Bat faceoffs? What relation do Barbara and Spider-Gwen even HAVE? If you're looking for the female equivalent of the popular male superheroes, there were a dozen more interesting Spider-Women to go with.

Also the lack of the original voices really disappointed me. I *think* Sarge, Grif, and maybe Simmons had their OG actors but everyone on Blue Team sounded awful. Can anyone confirm if Red Team's had the original actors or just really good imitators?

I don't believe it, they sound WAY too off. I can't adequately describe how but Tucker's voice is trying to be too high-pitched and Church's just sounds off. My bet is they hired imitators for at least a few of these guys and are just using the original VA's names, or else Bernie/Jason literally forgot what their characters sound like. It HAS been like 3 years since Church last had a speaking role in RvB so I could believe it.

I admit I would readily believe Grif/Sarge/Simmons were their original VA, red-team sounded fine. But Everyone on Blue Team sounded like new actors trying to replicate the voices.

I'm specifically using the original versions of each, so no Squadron Supreme Hyperion, no Hickman Hyperion, and no Moore Supreme.

It's Liefeld Supreme vs the original Squadron Sinister Hyperion. Battle of the first evil Supermen who weren't Ultraman who later had good versions that starred in two of the greatest cape comics of all time and were retconned to be one of a continuum of Supremes/Hyperions.

I'm considering having Squadron Supreme Hyperion fight either Moore Supreme or Miracleman later. Probably Miracleman, as I think Moore Supreme would be a better fit for Samaritan both powerwise and for the "reconstruction of Superman" theme.

I also need to find someone for Statesman to fight.

Yaldabaoth literally was rewriting reality and wiping people from existence and Joker no selled it. You can even argue that it was warping reality to a far greater level than GER ever did. Also it's funny in hindsight because a lot of the dc/marvel matches are doing pretty poorly in views compared to the non comic matches. Jason/Bucky, Wally/Sonic, Rhodey/Genos, and Miles/Virgil are the only ones with over 2 million views and Miles/Virgil is almost a year old and Rhodey/Genos can mostly be contributed to OPM. Whereas it's the only Gray vs Esdeath and The Boys that are doing poorly so far for non comic matches.

And batwank in comics makes people think Batman's corner can compete with those higher on the tier rankings. Like in comics the Rogues would lose to Batman villains because they're more popular among writers and readers but in something like Death Battle Ivy and Clayface would be the only ones worth shit (but could easily be countered by a Piper, MM, or Top and Cold respectively).
