>>118976300It's true though, based on her position she was in the right. Anne and Sasha have spent the same amount of time in the world, except Sasha got a massive handicap with the first month or more in a jail cell. Even from that point, she still manages to quickly gain a position of power over the entire valley as well as achieve a quality of life comparable to Earth. And then when she finally meets Anne, her friend is hanging out with some bumpkin frogs in a podunk town with nothing to show for it. As far as Sasha is concerned, Anne has spent the whole time just playing in a swamp and not a step closer to finding the way to return home. Like if it were up to Anne, it could take several years or longer to get back.
Faced with that level of incompetence, and it is quite staggering from an outsider's perspective, Sasha deems Anne incapable of adequately finding the way home for the girls. So best to restore the usual friendship dynamic and compel her back into subservience, in fact now it would matter more than ever while they're stranded in a hostile alien world. Then at least, Anne can be put to actual benefit with the toad cause and finding the way home, rather than just left to play in the swamp with frogs forever.
The act of Anne refusing her, because of that fucking squeaky toy, is more than a threat to their friendship dynamic, it's a threat to their return home. It's a sign of Anne possibly coming to favor her fake-fantasy life in Amphibia over her real life on Earth. If anything, Sasha is saving Anne from herself.
