>>118936111That seems more like a Doom thing, in all honesty. I do love LoW (as well as Gattaca and even S1m0ne), but that's not really Tony in any incarnation. It'd make for a great AU, but it's generally something that fits people like Doom and Luthor. Tony's the "clean" uber-rich super-genius that exists only in comics. I can't see him legitimately selling guns and going
>eh, whatever, collateralTony can be a cold bastard, he can murder a psycho murderer on a rampage, but he's not cold enough to be a chessmaster mastermind. Even in CW his "evil" deeds were very soft. He barely dipped into the "lake of evil", much less went on some Vader/BiBo descent into darkness.
I've had a "realistic" what-if-Doom-was-the-de-facto-Iron-Man story since forever. Very 2000s-esque feel, inspired by those same Andrew Niccol films.>>118936396I'm buying it simply to keep my pull list at a certain threshold until I'm out of floppies entirely. Mainly waiting for Morrison's GL and Hickman's Decorum (and Black Monday Murders, but I think that'll never be finished). The art's good enough and hey, I bought Slott's entire run. Say what you will, but at least this run gets some discussion. I don't think the Slott era broke 50 posts per storytime.
