>>118930343>what puts S2 ahead in most peoples' minds is that shit happens in it. Nothing worthwhile happens in S3. The plot has not moved forward. The characters are just spinning in place, there are no stakes, and nobody cares.I don't disagree in terms of overarching plot, but I guess just on an episode-to-episode basis S3 felt less like characters stuck in one room in one location talking about what they're gonna do in a few episodes eventually maybe I guess (well, most of the Hector stuff was literally that). Just felt more like people were actually doing shit.
Obviously S3 would be the one to be written out when it comes to what supports the actual story though.
>>118930360Yeah, the Hector stuff didn't make much sense even in S2 really. He knew Carmilla wanted him to help her betray Dracula, but also didn't think Dracula would die or that he'd be involved? I assume the audience is meant to see it as a betrayal but it's impossible when it was almost literally spelled out to him beforehand.
Lenore was pretty fun though and I think those interactions made that plotline better to watch than it should've been. It's really really dumb that it ends with "lol, I made you my pet," like that's really original or a big twist when it's the EXACT way S2 ended.
