>>118659873>I am kinda feeling some connection between Summoner and Hothive, based off of the text description we got of hothive and his sword's name. I'unno. You can have fun with it, and maybe we're meant to as a red herring speculation quest?
For instance I don't think people have quite considered the depths of his potential betrayal. Certainly the mutants have been too busy for that. Specifically there's the fact that they called out a peace of Arakko being taken to Krakoa, which is how Summoner arrived, of course, and the piece united with Krakoa. But given the dude's nature he could have done all sorts of fuckery to that piece of land, which naturally Krakoa would pull to its, er, bosom, so to speak, because it's desperate to be reunited. There's all forms of poisons, metaphorically and even quite literal, he could have slipped in which hasn't manifested yet. For instance it may be the real reason why their resurrection has become borked. They just assume it has to do with Otherworld but it could be a gambit (no pun intended) long in the making since it only occurred after the Arakko mutants were ready to throw down. That the deaths occurred in Otherworld may be coincidence, and certainly Saturnyne would take advantage of the Krakoa group's erroneous belief.
Or if he's infested he may have planted the same parasites into the bit of Arakko and delivered it into the heart of the new mutant nation, so ironically it won't all come crashing down to to human supremacists, or Super Duper up the Pooper Sentinels, or even infighting as the villains they brought into their circle inevitably betray them. If Covid is defeated within the next year I expect a future topical storyline about "mutant flu" that's really parasites taking over their minds and turning them into a new hive, just in time for another heroes vs heroes showdown as the Avengers and others try to sterilize Krakoa to protect the planet.
