Why does it feel like this show was written by autistic people? It's always loud, randumb and in your face with no subtlety. Is the creator on the spectrum?

No it is a great concept with network friendly old time Mad Magazine humor. It is a competent attempt at making cartoons for children in the intended target demographic of Cartoon Network rather than toddlers, teens, and adults.

Drawing the same things over and over hundreds of times a day would probably be something someone on the spectrum would enjoy
Deliberately consuming only cartoons aimed at small children would probably put you at an even lower functioning level

Let's remember that in the Uncle Grandpaverse Uncle Grandpa stopped Colombus, and so Spain, to discover America and so to genocide the native americans.
And since in the future a teacher said that Uncle Grandpa was indeed the discoverer of America neither Spain or any other Euro power came to to America, and so UG's created a covergent America where everything is the same but Native Americans never got genocided or invaded.

If you were lucky enough to see the two pilots for Uncle Grandpa on YouTube before they were taken down, they showed a cartoon much closer to the MAD Magazine style it was inspired by. Extremely detailed backgrounds, grungy details and no pizza steve or Mr. Gus. Sadly a lack of money and executive meddling probably resulted in less kid-centric episodes and overall blander presentation. UG had the potential to be a great cartoon but lack of time, money, freedom and talent means it will only be remembered as an okay cartoon.

I read it somewhere that the show is random because the crew storyboarded as a game, one guy would draw something ridiculous and the next guy would draw a much more ridiculous scene. It was pretty much Drawception: The Show.
