>>118417249It's not really a mahou shoujo in the traditional sense because they're supposed to be superheros so there's both male and female characters.
It's just that the cast is far more female than male, all the powers are related to a person's heart and themes like love, connecting with others and understanding their pain are central to the series which is way more magical girl than battle shounen. In fact, there hasn't even been a lot of fights and the times there has been the fights have been won through those central themes as opposed to characters throwing powers at each other until one pulls an ability out of their ass to win.
The actual fights tend to be shorter and basically preludes to the real meat of talking the antagonists through their traumas and insecurities.
