It's too bad half the shit Sugar talks about isn't in the actual fucking show. Maybe if she'd spent more time fleshing out actual characters instead of the fucking background NPCs she'd have been able to realize her vision.

She didn't exactly specify but I would say kind of like the mother of Lapis'. It would have been just Our Lapis since before Future Rebecca and the crew were very on the fence whether or not to have there be other Lapis gems. Lapis already sounds unique. Almost like a person with a full surname and every being Lapis Lazuli. Still, I would say it works like that.

Lapis Lazuli see that Steven's friends and loved ones are drifting away.
She does everything in her power and beyond to help him as he helped her.
She will not try to flirt with him but they will develop a therapist x patient relationship where they keep changing who is the one that needs help and who is the one that give advice.
At the end they will have a relationship based on trust and love.

You're missing the point, she learned not to be codependent on people through Steven. She missed Jasper despite the abuse, and had problems with living arrangements with Peridot because of her trauma. She has a stable support system by the end. Wish we got a B-team episode.

If I rewritten the show, I would have had Blue's emotional nature having someone to care for before Pink came into existence. To go with White planting aspects of her own personality into the other Diamonds.
