He blamed Kami-sama for this, as he saw himself as being screwed by the deity he'd devoted his life to, so he masterminded a plot involving alchemy, Death, a powerful vampire in Hungary and his Belmondo bestie to become the most powerful vampire the world had ever known - tl;dr it was basically just an anime version of Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula.
Fast forward a couple years later, Dracula's been killed and resurrected a few times, he's met the reincarnation of his wife and had a son. Things have calmed down a bit until his waifu's killed again by a band of peasants who think she's a witch. This kickstarts his war against the world until the late 1990s, when the combined efforts of the modern descendants of the Belmont and Belnades families, Alucard, the Catholic Church, the US Army and a group of Shinto priests seal Dracula's soul and his castle into a solar eclipse. Then Dracula and his waifu are reincarnated as a pair of Japanese teenagers in the late 2010s.
