This show was unironically Eraserhead, Mulholland Drive, Silent Hill, and Neon Genesis Evangelion all rolled up in one and distributed to children.

It might be the single deepest piece of media ever produced.

Watching this show as a child was a mind expanding phenomena that raised your IQ by 10 points.

Whichever one he talks the most in. I don't remember any episodes being much lower than average in quality, but my least favorite thing about the show is when Courage has dialog. They should have kept his character fully mute instead of like 80% of the time mute.

As a kid the episode with the literal depression cannon scared the hell out of me for reasons I can't rightly explain.
The episode with the evil duck was also pretty bad.

It's cool knowing that Dilworth wasn't inspired by any horror movies when making this show. It's probably why it feels a lot more unique compared to other shows.

That's partly due to the fact that it's a cartoon. They could take it to weird directions. Especially also because it's a comedy show.

My mom's favorite cartoons to watch with me when I was a kid were Courage and Johnny Bravo cause she loved that Courage cared for Muriel so much and that Johnny really did love and care for his momma.

What would a modern reboot of this show look like? I see this:
