Ripped Pants was one of the best episodes of season 1 you pleb, right up there with Rock Bottom and SB-129.

I can kind of forgive it because they were working on the movie at the time, it makes sense that the writing would dip a bit. Those episodes were definitely what influenced the later writers though, and they took their worst aspects and magnified the shit out of them.

I... I liked The Strangler. Though I think their weak spots of the early seasons were the Patchy specials, except Shanghaied and Ugh.

Love em, each and every episode is an absolute winner. I wouldn't say the rest of the show is irredeemable by comparison or anything like that, but nothing created after can top these three seasons and the first movie.

Season 1 has a more laidback tone that SHOULD have been keept as opposed of trying to make it into Ren & Stimpy lite, specially during the Casey Alexander seasons and current wacky faced era.
