>>117907674The narration of events is great in my opinion but it depends on what you enjoy. It's a pretty realistically feeling political build-up that is showing how a democracy is slowly falling apart thanks to radical movements and parties within it that pretend to be democratic while secretly enabling terrorism and poisoning the well until it's already too late to stop the mayhem and coup.
The worldbuilding is interesting too since it's actually showing Cybertronian culture and history and there are some mysteries connected with was basically WWI. It's really cool when you read it at once since otherwise it might be too slow and you need your time to get into it.
The downside is that it takes quite a while till characters grab you. The dialogue isn't as witty as you know it from other good TF series, so a lot of characters feel flat, though it gets better.
There actually ARE a lot of cool characters and new cool interpretations of them, it's just that they cannot exhaust their full potential. They are still good in my opinion though, everybody seems to like Flamewar, Lightbright or Road Rage for example. And the series somehow made Sentinel come off as cute to me but I am not sure why. Maybe it's the way Malkova is drawing him or something.
