that thing is Illyana - a dead 9 year old human girl - in the way that your clone would be you: it's not, and the distinction may be more philosophical than practical, but that doesn't mean that it ever can be the same as the original
also I've forgotten whether the original came back in Necrosha or Chaos War or that other thing where all the dead X-Men came back to life for a bit
>>117816241to be honest I'm torn between her staying dead and it being kind of neat that she's more dead than Uncle Ben or Mar-Vell or whoever, and her coming back - a 9 year old resurrected mutant child, who knows absolutely nothing of the things that have happened since and how twisted the X-Men have become conceptually, because that really is an opportunity to re-examine the franchise with a fresh pair of eyes, and that's the kind of hook new readers need
but I think if they did bring her back it would just be a few issues of her and Demon Illyana coming to terms, then she'd be on the bus forever until they forgot all her characterization and had her palling around with Demon Illyana for cheap laughs, and then at some point she'd magically age and they'd be slutty twins, because comics
