The entire point was that "she" was a man that got transformed via the Dial H for Hero thing. I wouldn't bring "her" back because a) it was always meant to just be a one-shot thing and if you take the comic in it's entirety, you know "she" has a bad end, and b) the last thing this character needs it to be cooped by delusional trannies and have it spammed all over twitter.

Have her on a team with a bunch of other obscure characters. Keep her/his story from the comic. She gets recruited to join the team for money. He/She bonds with their teammates. Several moments dealing with Shocking Suzy’s predicament. Eventually he turns back into a man. Leaves the team since he no longer has powers but is grateful of the time spent helping people and has a new outlook on life.

Wasn't that the point? She's barely covered up and hates her costume and ends up being a powerless stripper.

She could've appeared in the latest Dial H, get her powers back, and use that as a way to test the waters for a mini. She'd be able to change back but something would compel her to use her female form and powers.

This is exactly the kind of garbage the character should not be saddled with. It was never a part of the original story and does it a huge disservice. I also have zero faith that any attempt to revive this character would avoid it, which is why he shouldn't be revived.

Joe was turned into Suzi via magic, he never had "identity issues," that change was thrust upon him against his will and if you want to ignore the last two pages for a good end, he reversed it, and if you don't now he's trapped as a powerless stripper. If you want to do some tranny thing then create a new character, since it has no application to the Dial H for Hero story Joe/Suzi is from.

Yeah say whatever you want about old comic aesthetics with their battle leotards and the trunks on the outside but they are aesthetically pleasing. Dividing the design in easily identifiable chunks, this are legs this is a torso those are arms.

A good artist can make a busy design into something good but a busy design is also very easy to screw up. Pic related is a good example the busy design has more detail put into it but the simpler one just looks better.

There have been attempts but there is always a point where it starts to get too convoluted when trying amalgam Carol and Billy's backstories together.
Or it gets too crazy and at that point they might as well be OCs and people loose interest because it steer to far from the path.
Either way there is a point where people just loose interest and it goes back to square one.

I think you are only half right, The original comic was more of a chauvinist man learns the hurdles of the fairer sex, having to get clothes that fit, dealing with his sleazy friend and having troubles getting jobs. However now that the concept like gender dysphoria is a thing it can be read like that by the premise alone.

That being said, I do think a continuation shouldn't tackle the problem from a trans issue perspective. Jo doesn't want to be a man again, he wants to return to his Original self and his old life. There is an important difference there that you can't really turn into a trans issue.

Trying to find Amalgam scenarios is kind of headache.

So how about Billy getting his powers from the last Kree Wizard and everything else is just like Shazam with the added layer of Billy transforming into Ms Marvel? Maybe he call himself Carol while transform to keep appearances but pretty much that.
