>>117369645That's... a very good point actually. Gloria can't really do much beyond wagie barista stories with Cricket (her only co-worker), art-related endeavors, or stories involving her struggle with making friends/romantic relationships in Big City. And I feel like that last one is especially hindered by The Houghton Bros' refusal to expand the supporting cast. There are only so many throwaway characters they can fabricate to interact with Gloria for one episode.
The main focus of the show is the Greens getting into shenanigans throughout Big City, so I can assume that there's little incentive to make many Gloria-focused stories. With only 11 minutes per episode and a consistent desire for Cricket, Tilly, Bill, AND Alice to be involved in some way every time, where would Gloria even fit into the mix?
Seems like Gloria episodes are only a delicacy that comes every now and then. If you're watching BCG solely for a relatable post-grad dramedy starring a cute twenty-something at her wit's end, then you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Same way that Amphibia fans tuning in solely for Sasha and Grime are missing the main focus of that show, which is Anne's growth and her relationship with the Plantars.
