>>117281493alright, let's talk characters
>EdaThere are three aspects that you can take away from Eda and claim to be the core of her character
-She's a rogue witch hunted by the Emperor's Coven
-She's cursed
-She's intended to teach Luz magic
Regarding the first point even though we're supposed to believe she's a rogue witch, who has claimed time and again that the Emperor's Coven are constantly hounding her, most of her episodes show her out in public doing whatever she wants with no interference from the Emperor's Coven with only a handful of episodes actually involving that plotline (I wouldn't call that "constantly hounding")
As for the second point, we are shown in several consecutive episodes that her curse is worsening, the elixir not working as effectively etc, and yet we get at least a half a dozen if not a whole dozen episodes that completely sideline Eda and even when she's in the b-plot it doesn't revolve around the curse, and then POOF it's back so that the plot can actually continue and the finale can happen
Finally she's supposed to teach Luz, yes she can't do it effectively since she doesn't use the old way of magic herself, but she still helps Luz, once by accident with the light glyph in the video, and once on purpose when she specifically tells Luz to listen to the Isle to learn more magic, and guess what? When Luz shuts the fuck up and actually does just that, she finds the Ice Glyph in the stars above the Isles.
Then despite showing herself at least semi-capable of teaching Luz, Eda gets pushed aside for Hogwarts but not actually Hogwarts #912 which has literally ZERO use for the show, Gus and Willow aren't necessary for the story and the school would actually be more incapable of teaching Luz since they follow the coven system, Eda was willing to try any kind of magic, and while Bump was willing to mix and match covens (for some fucking reason) coven magic is literally useless to Luz
I could go on for other characters but this isn't a blog
