>>117153141Personally I don't think I COULD label one single "best episode", though if I had to make a short-list of memorable episodes, it'd be something like:
Bart vs. Thanksgiving
Bart the Daredevil
Three Men and a Comic Book
Stark Raving Dad
Bart the Murderer
Homer at the Bat
Kamp Krusty
Marge vs. the Monorail
I Love Lisa
So It's Come to This: A Simpsons Clip Show
Krusty Gets Kancelled
Boy-Scoutz N the Hood
$pringfield
Bart Gets Famous
Bart Gets an Elephant
The Boy Who Knew Too Much
Bart of Darkness
Itchy & Scratchy Land
Lisa on Ice
Bart's Comet
Homie the Clown
Bart vs. Australia
A Star is Burns
The PTA Disbands
Round Springfield
The Lemon of Troy
All of "Who Shot Mr. Burns"
Radioactive Man
Bart Sells His Soul
The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular
Homer the Smithers
Bart on the Road
22 Short Films About Springfield
Raging Abe Simpsons and ... the Flying Hellfish
Summer of 4 ft 2
You Only Move Twice
El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer
The Springfield Files
Mountain of Madness
The City of New York vs Homer Simpson
Lisa's Sax
I know this list is WAY too long, but I already left out a lot of episodes that I thought COULD be here, but were listed or just not my cup of tea enough. Honestly the easier list for me is episodes I just can't stand anymore, which basically boils down to "Lisa the Vegetarian", and "Sideshow Bob Roberts". Early Simpsons earned its place in TV, animation, and comedy history through miraculously good writing by obscenely talented writers, and calling any one episode "the best" kinda undersells that.
