Marco, being a supportive boyfriend, acts interested on Luz Dominican culture, celebrating her nationals days, etc. After some time, Luz feels guilty because she realizes that she doesn't support Marco mexican heritage in the same way.
What Luz doesn't know is that Marco is chicano trash and knows nothing about mexican culture.
Luz decides to not celebrate halloween and does a dia de los muertos celebration instead. Marco doesn't want to throw Luz efforts to the trash but he really wants to celebrate an all american halloween.
