They tried to revive the series nearly 6 years after the original had ended, all to wrap ONE plot thread that was only kind of important to have addressed when the cartoon had basically glossed over it. And of course the change to live action instead of 2D animation for the real world didn't go over well, even if the CG was massively better than it ever had been.
