If Robinson has any input at all with season 2, then we'll be seeing Shade teaching the new JSAers about this past as well as being the link to the big esoteric guns that weren't touched upon in this season: Spectre, Fate, Green Lantern, Thunderbolt, etc. You don't get to have Eclipso as your villain without having at least one of the above as a foil. Let's be honest, Eclipso is very much on the level of your Trigons or your Darkseids when it comes to events.

Well we have no idea what will happen in season 2. Season 1 was mostly based on Star and S.T.R.I.P.E, with some influence from the general JSA and Infinity Inc. Considering Eclipso is probably going to be the main villain next season, maybe any appearances Eclipso has in JSA titles. For Shade, James Robinson's Starman.

A lot of Eclipso's big storylines usually have the same goal of trying to eclipse the earth so he'll always be at max power. They might try to take bits and pieces to create something relatively new. After watching season 2 of doom patrol I gotta say if this is the writing for further seasons then it really is the fucking same, It still has the fucks as well as a decent amount of gore and some surprising nudity. Season 2 of doom patrol is superior to season 1 entirely the characters are more fleshed out, Dorothy is a well written character, all of the special effects, make up, costumes, and set design are great. The only down side is it feels very short, you could watch it in a day and feel like it's only been 4 hours. In short, if this going to be whats in store for doom patrol with the shift to HBO MAX then I'm on board.

all in all, a fun show carried by Stargirls tummy and Pat. The victory felt completely unearned but I guess there was no way they were going to have such a young and inexperienced cast win outside of the villains decimating their own ranks and the like unless they had some serious timeskips for training and whatnot.

Just watched the finale and loved it. Great teasers for based Shade, Eclipso, and the Founding Fathers. I have a feeling Eclipso is going to somehow lead into Johnny Sorrow. I think it's cool that Eclipso is somehow linked to Wizard. I'm really psyched for next season. Hopefully they keep everyone involved with the show creatively.

Except they do. Batman, Superman, and Flash are the only big exceptions and it's because they're DC's bread and butter at this point.
Alan was supposed to show up in LoT season 1 but he got embargoed, probably because they wanted him in an eventual Black Adam movie.

Also the JSA in Stargirl and Black Adam are different. Atom Smasher won't be in Stargirl (as much as she wishes he would), neither are the Hawks or Fate, because they're all in the movie. Similarly Hourman, Midnite, and Wildcat aren't going to be in the movie. Johns saying Alan and Jay may show up in Stargirl eventually is the closest thing they'll get to having the same characters.

Honestly the season could have done with a few more episodes, though it wouldn't need to be doubled in length. They really did not spend enough time on any characters besides Courtney and Pat, and that was especially bad for their allies. It took half the season for them to assemble, but then they weren't given anything to do.
