If they can still secure funding I can't imagine them passing up a chance to mash all of it together for one last round. Besides there's more than just urban fantasy and sci-fi to hit. They could add some other peculiarity to arcadia if they pleased.

Just finished it a few minutes ago. Overall pretty good. The Wizard dude was good and I grew to really like him, maybe even more than Jim. The ending isn’t really a tight conclusion and sets up the potential for more, but regardless it ties up most of the loose ends so even if it doesnt get renewed you’re not stuck with a massive cliffhanger or anything. Definitely did feel rushed at parts, and leaving any 3Below references and characters to the last 3 episodes really fucking sucked. Overall I’d give it an 8, maybe 8.5. Hope they do more with this world and these characters. Oh and Callista and the grass chick are hot as fuck. Shame Callista’s VA sucks dick and never expresses emotion just like she does in Brooklyn 99

Saw it all already and while I'm happy Jim is back to his old self, I WAS PROMISED A TROLL V ALIEN V WIZARD BATTLE, THE ONLY ALIEN WAS KREL FUCK THEM . It ends with less of a perfect ending and more of a setup for a next season

No, she is only mentioned twice. At the start of the series when the scene from the end of 3 Below takes place with Archie, and before the battle against Gunmar when he tries to send her a message saying he might die (but since he got sent to Camelot his phone won't work obviously). Steve is mostly played for laughs this time but he also tries to be come a true knight under Lancelot and when he dies in the final battle because of Bular he gets mad and calls in a giant monster (Nimue the Lady of the Lake) to kick Bular's ass at lightspeed. He eventually gets back in the present with his knight armor and all that stuff and for the rest of the series (so the last 2-3 episodes) he's the comic relief

The animation looks better. Not worth enough to get Netflix though. If this really ends at this season it ended in the most boring way possible for the entire world of the series, but in the almost best way possible for the mc of this series

You might want to watch the entire Trollhunters series. 3 Below content exists in this universe but watching a recap of 3 Below might be better for you since in Wizards, 3 Below is barely referenced in the first episode, once during the series, and then for the last 2-3 episodes there's one alien with the heroes from 3 Below and that's it

Movie synopsis

It's funny how /co/ keeps bitching about no white straight male protagonists in cartoons and doesn't watch these shows.
Anyways, despite all the flaws this franchise had, I do like that they have some tragedy in them and are willing to kill off major characters. These are probably the only modern cartoons where you can actually believe a major character will die. Trollhunters S3 was fucking nuts

I wanna say it's because they didn't do the whole, "First part showing how the wizard came into town and what he would have been doing leading up to and during the troll hunter finale"
And season 2 being the "Here's what happened after

Honestly what I disliked the most about this season, at least for me, is how underused Krel was until the last few episodes. I wish he got pulled into the past with Douxie and the gang.
Hell we didn't even get more on the who wizards at the tech shop thing.

Its obvious this series was originally intended to be multiple seasons long like the previous two were. We should have gotten a season with Douxie and his own supporting cast to build him up as a protagonist and flesh him out more before we crossed him over with the others. The second season would have the time travel plot. Then the 3rd season would have the arcane order and the seals. That said doing it this way ensured their were no cringey filler episodes. That said the writers did great with what they had.

thats exactly why it was fucking great, it didn't shy away from having tragedy and loss. The protagonist doesn't even get a golden happy ending despite everything he sacrificed. That is EXTREMELY rare in cartoons nowadays.

Honestly? I hope after the movie they make a new story with new characters. These past shows have been good but they are filled with way too many cliches and shitty childish humor. Make some PG13 cartoon with better drama and we can have the first amazing 3d animated series

It just dawned on me that Steve had a medieval magic adventure while Pepperjack is having a sci-fi space adventure. The both of them went into completely different journeys in terms of genre. Hope they reference this in the movie

I hate how rushed this was. It's so clear that so much more was planned but for some reason, it was all scrapped. Can't even blame corona since the project begun well before it: years even.
Felt like we would have needed another 10 or so episodes to set up Douxie's life in Arcadia (with backstory and flashbacks peppered in between story beats), his relation to Hex Tech and his role in during Morgana's Eternal Night shenanigans. Then, another 10 or so episodes for the time travel arc and finally, another 10 for preparations for the final battle, more buildup for the Arcane Order and for the final battle.

So ending it on a cliffhanger and then announcing a movie is such shit. They could have spent the movie's budget to get Wizards on the same level as Trollhunters. AND WE NEVER GOT A CREEPSLAYERZ SERIES!

If anything, I'm pretty sure that it wasn't a "time loop" situation but more of an "overwritten past" like another anon said earlier.

I liked it a lot despite it rushing through everything. It might be my favorite.
I always liked this show but not enough to feel 100% invested in it. By making it short they cut all the fluff and only focus on what’s important. I love how tragic it was at times and the amount of death it had. Most cartoons are too cowardly to kill off major characters like that.

Meant to say “these” shows. Since I’ve seen them since the start and in order, I consider tales of arcadia one show with multiple seasons, not different series
