>>116623882Just cursory research, (and remembering a few episodes of some TV show my wife watches on Freeform) The editor is going to be the person that prepares the content of the magazine for the month, solicits pitches, collects articles and pictures and prepares the entire section for print/distribution.
Since this for monthly comics, I assume the editor works on a particular issue or issues, gets the script from the writer that they assist on in some way, gets the arts, and gets everything ready for print.
